How Servlog researches maintenance intervals
Where the numbers come from, and how to read them.
Sources
Each model's intervals are compiled from the manufacturer's published maintenance schedule and owner's manual for that generation, cross-checked against the manufacturer's service literature where it differs by trim or engine. The source is cited on every model page.
What the confidence flag means
Every model carries a confidence flag:
- confidence: high — the intervals come directly from the manufacturer's maintenance schedule or owner's manual for that generation and match across sources.
- confidence: medium — the figures are well-supported but vary by trim, engine or model-year, or rely partly on widely-accepted service practice rather than a single official table.
Normal vs severe service
Manufacturers publish two schedules. The severe-service schedule applies if you mostly drive short trips, in cold / dusty / hot climates, in stop-and-go traffic, or tow — which describes most real-world drivers, so we surface it alongside the normal interval rather than burying it.
Update cadence
The dataset is reviewed and refreshed periodically as new model-years and manufacturer schedules are published; each page shows its last-updated date.
Important disclaimer
These intervals are general guidance to help you plan, not a substitute for your vehicle's documentation. Always confirm the exact interval against your own owner's manual, which reflects your specific trim, engine and market. Found a discrepancy? Email [email protected].
